This is traditional Western swing, and it’s great fun. The album opens in high gear with Stuckey’s own “(Ol Daddy’s Got a) Brand New Love” and never slows down. The dozen-member group, which employs a pair of fiddles, plus clarinet, steel guitar, and trombone, will have you tapping your foot from start to finish of its uptempo 14-song program, which ranges from classic swing (“Coyote Blues”) to Benny Goodman (“Pick a Rib”). Somewhere, Bob Wills is smiling.
