Wearing the latest fashions on this eponymous album’s cover, Lyn Todd may look like a star. Her record, though, sounds merely like what happened when somebody asked, “If Pat Benatar and Ellen Foley can do it, why not Lyn Todd?” Her undistinguished voice offers one good answer, and you’ll find additional reasons in this LP’s cluttered production and mundane program, which features tunes by Todd’s producer plus uninspired covers of David Bowie’s “Rebel Rebel” and Pete Townshend’s “Pinball Wizard.”
